WordPress 4.8.3 Security Release

WordPress Website Security

WordPress has released version 4.8.3 of its popular content management system (CMS). This is a security release for all previous versions and we strongly encourage you to update your sites immediately.

In particular, it closes a loophole that could have made it possible for malicious hackers to perform an SQL injection attack on a site that is using WordPress. Whilst the core WordPress offering was not vulnerable to this issue, some plugins and themes were, and this update toughens the protections that protects them from these issues.
